There are five IFBB Pro League shows taking place across the globe on Saturday, July 15, 2023, and one of them is the Xtreme Bodybuilding Pro Classic Physique show in Tijuana, Mexico. Sixteen athletes will be vying for the championship, $5,000 USD, and a qualification to compete in the 2023 Olympia Weekend in Orlando, FL, on Nov. 2-5, 2023.

None of the competitors have yet qualified for the Olympia going into the contest. The full roster is below, courtesy of the IFBB Pro League website:

Athletes to Watch

Below are three athletes who are likely to make a stand in front of the judges and rank high on their scorecards.

Jorge Herrera

The host country will be represented by seven competitors, including Jorge Herrera, who may be the favorite going in. He ranked 12th at the 2022 Classic Physique Olympia and stands a good chance of requalifying for a second straight year at this contest. He was the 2021 Legion Sports Fest Pro winner, his only pro victory thus far.

Jordan Tripp-Arthur

American Jordan Tripp-Arthur has competed once in 2023, ranking fifth at the 2023 Mid USA Pro. Even though he has been a pro since 2020, Tripp-Arthur has only competed in two pro shows prior to this contest. The other was the 2020 Battle of Texas, where he placed 11th. Tripp-Arthur has improved significantly since then, and his chances of a first callout in this show are high.

Diego Alejandro Galindo

2022 Xtreme Pro third-place finisher Diego Alejandro Galindo is the highest finisher from that edition of this show competing in this year’s contest. That was his only pro show to date, but with a year to make improvements, expect to see a bigger and likely better-conditioned version of his physique at this contest.

Other Notes

Besides this contest, there are two other Classic Physique pro shows taking place on Saturday, July 15, 2023. They are the 2023 Vancouver Pro and the 2023 Lenda Murray Atlanta Pro.
